01Overview
PhiLo POS is the counter app in the PhiLo Tech ecosystem: PhiLo POS, PhiLo Manager, and PhiLo KDS sync product, reporting, staff, and settings to a central PhiLo Web Dashboard at office.philo.asia.
The platform is built for Myanmar retail, wholesale, and hospitality — from single shops to multi-branch operations with warehouse stock, branch transfers, and supplier purchasing.
PhiLo POS is available on Android (Google Play and APK), Windows desktop, and iOS, with macOS coming soon. Native apps support thermal printing (USB, Bluetooth, or network) and offline selling with automatic cloud sync when connectivity returns.
02The problem
Working as Operations Manager at Aung Chan Thar Store, our family retail business, Pyi Hein San experienced the challenges of running a retail operation firsthand.
When existing POS systems did not fully meet the store’s needs, and costly business software was hard to justify, he combined an IT background with that operational experience.
That decision led to PhiLo POS — the product that started PhiLo Tech.
03What it does
PhiLo POS brings sales, stock, and profit together in one place — with checkout, inventory, shifts, refunds, F&B, integrations, and reporting built in.
Checkout & counter
Barcode scanning, split payments (including cash and mobile wallets such as KBZ Pay), discounts and taxes, and grid layouts on Android and desktop POS.
Offline-first selling
Sell, print receipts, and create customers while offline; sales sync automatically when the connection returns. Thermal receipt printing relies on the native app, not browser-only PWA printing.
Inventory & branches
Realtime stock, batch and expiry tracking, low-stock alerts, adjustments from the Web Dashboard, central warehouse stock, branch transfers, and branch pricing.
Staff, shifts & refunds
Role permissions, branch assignment, POS device registration, shift open/close with cash in/out and drawer reconciliation, and refunds that restock inventory.
Wholesale & agents
Supplier purchasing, agent and consignment selling with commission calculation, and multi-organization cloud accounts with fine-grained access.
Food & beverage
Modifiers, variants, combo notes, and held tickets for restaurant and café workflows.
Reports & alerts
Dashboard KPIs, P&L and expenses on the web, 30+ built-in reports, optional Telegram bot summaries and low-stock alerts, and a public QR menu for branch catalog sharing.
Realtime sync
Cloud sync of catalog and stock between mobile POS and the Web Dashboard.
